Corfu is an island particularly suitable for holidays all round the year. The winter is mild with relatively high temperatures (5-14°) and sufficient sunlight (approx. 4,5 hours daily).
Spring is impressive and offers the visitor the privilege to enjoy the orgy of vegetation and colours.
Easter is a magnificent celebration with lots of events that make Corfu famous all over
Greece.
Summer is the most popular season:
Corfu disposes of picturesque beaches and its crystal clear waters invite the visitors to swim, snorkel and dive and forget all about work and trouble.
Autumn is the season of vintage - the period the Island gets the smell of grapes. It is the best time of the year to get to know the island's daily life, people and nature.
The
weather in Corfu in the
winter can be very pleasant. Occasionally, on this beautiful island we experience periods of high temperatures, which we call “small summers”. Take time for a nice walk or a cycle, you may even have a lazy day on the beach.Winter is also the time for the olive harvest. From November until the end of March the olives are plucked and at the end of every day’s harvest they are immediately crushed. This way you secure the highest quality olive oil. It is a lovely experience to witness the olive harvest or beter still to join in on this adventure.
Good food is also an importent factor in the winter. For this reason you can enjoy excellent meals in de Greek taverns (not all are open) most of which are frequented by the residents of the island, or of course in our own restaurant in the hotel serving delicious daily meals with fresh seasons ingredients, and not to forget our “Tapas”.
