Villa Romantic is situated on the southwest side of Corfu island, approximately 22km from Corfu town centre and the airport .The nearest village of Agios Matheos is no more than 2km away. In  Paramonas beach, 700m from the villa, you will find a mini market  and 4or 5 Tavernas which offer good fresh fish and  other delicious local dishes.

The  luxurious private Villa Romantic (14 5sqm, sleeps 6-8 persons) with private swimming pool (65 sqm),is situated on the  hills above the wonderful and quiet area of Paramonas beach (approximately 700m away), within a large garden of olive trees and cypresses.

The villa was built  at the end of 2002 in Bungalow style and consists of one double bedroom 17sqm with WC / bath, Sat-TV, air conditioning,  large balcony 11,5 sqm with sea view, one twin bedroom 16sqm, WC / shower, Sat-TV, air conditioning, large balcony 11sqm with sea view, upstairs one twin bedroom 15 sqm with large balcony 33sqm + sea view, living room/kitchen 45sqm, Sat-TV, air conditioning, Tel+ Fax,  large balcony with sea view downstairs. In the garden  there is a  BBQ area with a romantic sitting corner  where you can enjoy  quiet evenings. In the swimming pool area you will find  sun beds and  umbrellas with views to the sea, a little further on there is a small play corner for the children and on the other side of the garden is the parking area.

Located at the south west corner of the Mesis region, Agios Matheos is an important village with a population of 1500, built on the lower slopes of the mountain of the same name. It is a village with great personality,  fine traditional cafes line the main street and it has a philharmonic orchestra, founded in 1965 A huge, dense forest of oaks, fruit-bearing  trees and wild olives encircles the village, and during the  19th century, fugitives from the law would hide out amongst the myrtles and lentisk shrubs.
Near the summit stands the Monastery of Pantokrator (the Almighty), built at the beginning  of the 4th century AD. Its remarkable all-night festival takes place on August 6th, and is well worth seeing.

Nearby is the entrance to a cave, which is said to lead down to the sea. The historical value of the place is undisputed, for here traces of Mesolithic Man have been found. From the village of Agios Matheos, a road leads down to Paramonas,  an excellent sandy beach with some small islets offshore and two or three tavernas beside the waves.
To the south are the clean and peaceful little beaches of Prasoudi, Kavouli, and Skidi, worth keeping in mind if you seek solitude during the peak season.
