welcome to SIDARI Corfu (Kerkyra)

Sidari is a long-standing favourite with families and singles alike, thanks to its excellent beaches and relaxed atmosphere. The main beach is a two-mile curve of sand and shingle, with safe swimming and a good selection of watersports. Beyond the small harbour, and the small creek known as the Canal D'Amour (single ladies will allegedly meet the man of their dreams if they bathe here!), a series of sandstone coves has been eroded by the sea into weirdly-shaped rock formations. Each cove forms a natural swimming pool, with its own tiny sand beach, and warm shallow water - kids love it! Sidari resort's single main street is lined with shops and a wide choice of tavernas and bars. After sundown, it's lively without going over the top, and there are a couple of good discos. It's easy to see why Sidari's such a popular choice with all kinds of holidaymakers!

sidari

Set in Sidari Bay and surrounded by green and fertile hills, the resort has a main beach, stretching for 3km, which offers safe shallow waters and ideal conditions for swimming, especially for children. A mixture of sand and shingle, the beach at Sidari has plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas, snack bars and cafes and offers a huge choice of watersports, including banana-boat rides, jet-skis, water-skiing and scuba-diving. A smaller beach lies by the old fishing harbour to the east of the resort, and in the west is the beach at Canal D'Amour, with its' eroding sandstone cliffs and amazing rock formations. These form a string of tiny coves, each like little swimming pools with their own private beaches, accessible by paths and even ladders. Sidari has one single main street, which is lined with a good choice of shops, most of which stay open late. The nightlife in Sidari is quite lively, with a huge array of bars, ranging from traditional Greek to blatantly British karaoke bars, and lots of tavernas and restaurants, serving a wide range of food including Chinese and Mexican, as well as Greek and English. Children are well-catered for at the family-friendly resort of Sidari, with a bouncy castle on the main beach, go-karts, arcades in the village and a special childrens' horse-riding school. Accommodation in Sidari is generally in the form of self-catering studios and apartments, most with pools and a good choice of facilities.
