welcome to AGNI Corfu (Kerkyra)

AGNI bay is found at the bottom of a very steep and twisting lane from the main coast road. It's a small bay of pebbles with the odd patch of sand with three tavernas that open in the summer with views across to Albania. Jetties have been built to accommodate the boats that pull in here. The beach shelves deeply into the sea and there are some sharp underwater rocks making it unsuitable for children and, apart from the tavernas which offer free sunbeds for customers, there are no facilities. It's a beautiful and peaceful setting though and a step back in time for those seeking a more relaxed Greece

agni corfu

Beach location: Agni is a hairy ride down a steep, single-track road that leads off the main northern highway out of Corfu Town. It's located in the vicinity of Nissaki. Agni beach itself is within a lovely, treelined bay and is renowned for its gourmet restaurants that, seemingly, vie with each other for top position (and customers). Disabled access: Yes. Hard shingle and small pebbles make wheelchair access possible. Car parking: Municipal (paid) car park which you have to use unless you intend to park some way from Agni beach. Normally plenty of space but gets full in high season.
Food outlets/restaurants: Yes, three tavernas. Sand/pebbles/shingle: Pebbles to and beyond the waterline. Sunbeds/umbrellas: Yes. Showers: Yes. For toilets, patronise the tavernas.
Safe for children: Agni beach is probably visited by more yachts than cars and boat traffic makes swimming a little hazardous. Watersports: No-There is boat hire and a diving school, however.
Main users: Tourists Well cared for: Yes. Mooring for boats: Every boat in Corfu seems to make its way here. Thus, while it's possible to moor, you may find it crowded in high season.
Next to quayside/harbour: Pleasure craft by the dozen visit Agni. However, they seem to do little damage to the local environment. Storm drains/outlets into sea: No.
Natural shady areas: Agni beach located at the base of the cliffs is a reasonable amount of tree cover.
Any other facilities: Only the tavernas. Distance to main resorts: Corfu Town 30km.
Public transport: Buses will take you as far as the main road. Independent transport is probably preferable. Blue Flag: No
